In today’s verse from Acts 3:19, we are called to repent and turn to God; “Repent, then, and turn to God, so that your sins may be wiped out, that times of refreshing may come from the Lord”. When we do this, our sins are wiped out – they are forgiven and forgotten by God.

But the benefits of repentance don’t stop there. As we turn to God and align ourselves with Him, we also open ourselves up to receive times of refreshing from the Lord. This refreshing can come in many forms – it could be physical, emotional, or spiritual. But whatever form it takes, it is a gift from God, given to us as we turn to Him in repentance.

So if you find yourself feeling weighed down by sin or struggling to connect with God, take a moment to reflect on your actions and ask yourself if there are any areas in your life where you need to repent. Then, turn to God in prayer and ask for His forgiveness.

As you do, you’ll experience the freedom that comes from having your sins wiped out, and you’ll open yourself up to receive the refreshing that only God can provide.
