They allegedly discriminate against children of lower socioeconomic status. Moreover, private schools exclude many children from poorer backgrounds, preventing them from achieving the educational and professional opportunities they could have had. Moreover, the huge resource expenditures on private schools could be better spent on children from disadvantaged backgrounds.
